My passion for vintage hi-fi began with restoring a beautiful Japanese sound system from the 70s. When I first heard it, the clarity and depth of the sound made it feel like a live concert in my own home. This experience reignited a love for how the sound system used to be the heart of the home: a place where family and friends gathered to enjoy music together. In today's world, where modern audio completely lacks any soul, I'm dedicated to bringing that magic back and completing the sensory experience in your space, ensuring that music is not only heard but also felt.

With extensive travel and a global perspective on music, combined with my electrical expertise, I bring both a unique vision and technical know-how to ensure your sound system becomes an integral part of your space. Working with me is my partner Roos, who works as a fashion designer and coordinates the audio and interior design aspects of our projects. Together, we specialise in custom-curating unique vintage sound systems tailored to your space and style.

What: I’ll bring a stack of records I love, play one song from each, and tell the stories behind them. We’ll listen together on my vintage sound system. It’s a seated, easy-going night built around listening.

What actually happens on the night?

It’s a vinyl listening night where we slow things down. I play a selection of records and
share the story behind the artist or album before playing a song. Everyone is seated comfortably in the Whiskey Lounge with a drink in hand, listening together and enjoying the music as it was meant to be heard.

Do I need to know a lot about music or vinyl?

No. This night isn’t about knowledge or having a certain taste. If you enjoy music and
like discovering the stories behind it, you’ll feel right at home.

Is this more of a night out or a listening experience?

It’s a bit of both. It’s relaxed and social, but not a party. People come to listen, have a drink, and enjoy something different from the usual night out.

Can I come on my own?

Yes. Many people do. It’s an easy night to come solo, settle in, and just enjoy the experience, whether you arrive alone or with friends.

What kind of music will be played?

Each night is curated and a little different. Some follow a loose theme, others are guided by a journey or mood. You might discover a new record you’ve never heard
before, or hear a familiar artist through a story that deepens your appreciation. The exact selection is always a surprise.

Are drinks or food available on the night?

Yes. Drinks will be available to purchase throughout the evening, and a snack menu will be on offer. You’re free to settle in, order something when you feel like it, and enjoy the night at your own pace.

Is there parking available?

Yes. There is on-site parking available at Sun Ranch.
